Cerawood square plate (L)
A real cedar board or piece of driftwood is used as an original mold. Then, we place ceramic clay on the mold and hit it to make an impression of the wood grain. After that, it is bisque fired, and pigment is applied to it and wiped off repeatedly with a cloth to blend the pigment into the bisque. After the main firing, it reproduces the texture of real wood.
As it is a ceramic, it can be used in a dishwasher or microwave, and will not stain or retain the smell from food.
