Blue Karatsu Rinka Plate (a set of five, approx. 12cm)
This is a type of Karatsu ware in which a greenish glaze, made mainly from the ashes of miscellaneous trees, is applied over an earthy and sandy clay which is one of the characteristics of Karatsu ware. A variant with a finely indented rim that creates a flower-like atmosphere is called “Rinka” in Japan.
